An Introduction to Definitions and Concepts

Sexual Orientation vs. Gender Identity

Sexual orientation and gender identity are two different concepts. For short, sexual orientation and gender identity, together, is referred to as SOGI.

To clarify the two concepts, without going into a lot of jargon or definitions, is to see sexual orientation as who you go to bed with, and gender identity as who you go to bed as.
